Blazing Gem PROLOGUE

  I always love adventures.

  Learning something new, experiencing something wonderful, taking in all the wonders of the world through my very own eyes; all of them are the many reasons why I crave an adventure of my own. A little action; a little danger; maybe some romance? It might be silly to think of such a thing at a young age, but for me, those are one of the few that I always crave to have and do.

  Don’t get me wrong. I do travel a lot. Due to my dad’s job, I and my family have been moving around from all around the region. It’s quite fun, but to be honest, it’s also kind of exasperating. My memories vary, but it’s never constant. I’ve made a few friends, but my friendship with them will always be brief the second I move out to another place. It’s really sad when I think about it. I dream of adventure, but I also dream of a life filled with happy memories and friends.

  So when I received news that my family and I would be moving to a new, farther place – a quaint little town called Littleroot in a whole new region – I was sort of excited and hopeful. My dad got a permanent position in another town as the gym leader there, and this can finally let us stay in one place for quite longer, if not making it our permanent residence.

  I was excited. Journeying to a new region. Going to places that can give me experiences, both happy and surprising. Finally making new friends that will stick by without the fear of forgetting or losing them. I was honestly excited about starting my very own Pokémon journey.

  So why…How did this happen to me…?
