Need Not You Forget

1. Conflicting

"A…flower?" Leaf asked curiously, eyes wide in surprise. Green pursed a naughty smile.

"Pesky girl. Can't you tell it's a red rose? Or you don't even know what this is?"

The female brunette's lips were curved into a small frown. "I know what a rose is, Green."

The young Viridian leader's smile grew wider. "Good. Coz this rose is for you." He slid the rose on her upper left ear. Leaf's face was a shade of red. Green moved closer until his own lips reached her ear. "And just in case you've forgotten, I love you."


2. Checkmate

"Oh wow!" Touko gasped in awe at the gift in the small box. It was a silver necklace. The pendant was engraved into a heart-shaped diamond. The brunette gawked incredulously at the necklace, then at the snickering boy in front of her. Her mouth was agape, still frozen from the shock.

Cheren chuckled silently at his girlfriend's funny expression. "What? I told you that I will give you a special gift for your birthday." He took the necklace of out the box. Without a word, Cheren moved closer and wore it on the stunned girl's neck. A small 'click' was heard. His fingers softly caressed her bare neck, earning a small shudder from her.

The spectacled boy huffed in joy. Black eyes met browns. With a loving smile, he whispered, "And just in case you've forgotten, I love you."


3. Soulfulheart

Kotone could not decipher the words she was feeling right now.

Stood in front of her was huge alluring ice statue of her.

Her hands clamped to her mouth, Kotone's eyes were wide and gawking at the beautiful masterpiece. She looked around the peak. No one was there. She tilted her body to her right – only to see a certain young man standing nonchalantly with his hands in his pockets. Behind him were his huge Snorlax and Charizard. And on his shoulder was none other than his trusty Pikachu.

"Red?" Kotone breathed a squeak. He did this? She thought. He carved this sculpture for me?

Red pointed downwards, lips in a small smile. Kotone looked at the feet of the statue. On the snow was carved some words that ring a bell in Kotone's heart, and bring happy tears in her eyes.

'Just in case you've forgotten, I love you.'


4. Hoenn

May woke up woozily. Her eyelids were heavy, blinking slowly. She led out a small yawn. Her hands moved around, feeling something hard yet soft: Like skin.

Skin?

She quickly snapped her body upwards, eyes wide in shock. May received more surprises to see a sleeping Brendan under her. The boy was snoozing soundly, completely unaware that she has woken up. May sighed in relief. It's only Brendan. She gazed at the young man. His head was free from his hat; only revealing black messy hair. His lips were slightly apart. May scooted a bit closer. He has long eyelashes for a guy. She giggled under her breath. May swore – if the boy ever cross-dress, he will look prettier than her.

She then looked up above his head. Her heart stopped to see a bunch of flowers all aligned into some words. May scrunched her eyes closer, trying to make out the words. Quickly, her hands slapped her mouth shut, holding back a gasp.

'I love you.'

Suddenly, she felt her waist being tugged and pulled. May squealed in surprise. In minutes, her back was laid on the grass; with Brendan on top and snickering.

"I knew you woke up before me," he murmured huskily. "So I thought I give you a little surprise." He pecked the girl's cute little nose. "So, May, just in case you've forgotten, I love you."


5. Twinleaf

"Jun…you made this?"

Jun posed a small frown. "Don't look so shocked, Hikari. Of course I made it."

Hikari raised an eyebrow. In front of her was a heart-shaped chocolate cake. She gawked at the delicacy, then at Jun, then at the food back. "Um…Are you sure this is edible?"

Ouch. "Very funny, Kari Kari." He scooped up a piece with his fingers and softly pressed it on her mouth. "Come on. Say 'ahh'."

"Err…" The brunette was half-hearted. Sure she was touched that the boy actually made something sweet for her, but Hikari questioned his baking skills.

"Come on, Hikari. If you die because of this, I'll kill myself right after," he joked sarcastically, flashing a sly smirk. Her lips curved into a small frown, yet, finally she opened her mouth, letting the piece in. Hikari was shocked to find that the cake wasn't bad at all. In fact, it tasted heavenly. Unwarily, she hummed at the succulent taste in her mouth.

To see her positive response, Jun could only smile in joy. A quiet 'gulp' was heard from her. Before Hikari could give out her reviews, the blonde planted a soft kiss on her chocolate-smudged lips.

A few minutes later, they broke the kiss. Hikari was stunned as ever. The boy was always filled with surprises.

Still smirking boyishly, he purred, "Nyeh. Just in case you've forgotten, I love you."


6. Soulsilver

"Silver…don't you remember?" Kotone asked in sorrow. Silver stared at her with such a boring gaze. "Remember what?"

She could hear her heart break into a million pieces. "You know…today."

"I've battled you yesterday. Don't tell me you want another battle today."

Idiot. She shook her head, eyes shut. "No, stupid! Not that!"

Silver chuckled dryly. "Look, Kotone. If you don't have anything to say, I gotta go." He stopped to see the girl's reaction. Kotone's head was downcast. Her body was shivering. Her hands were pumping small fists. The redhead sighed heavily. Without a sound, he turned his back against her. "I got stuff to do. See ya, Kotone." And just like that, he walked away.

Kotone clenched her teeth angrily. How could he…? My birthday…He has forgotten my birthday! She could feel tears trickling down her cheeks. Kotone shut her eyes tightly, but all she can see was the redhead. "Damn you…"

Suddenly, she felt something plopping on her head. Kotone opened her eyes. Shock sipped into her to see darkness. Swiftly, her hands moved to her head; removing a somewhat clothing covering her face. Hazel eyes were round to see what it was: Silver's jacket.

Something shiny in the jacket's pocket caught her attention. Kotone peeked at it in curiosity for a few seconds. Then, without haste, she inserted her hand in it. She felt something small; something hard. It was enough to drive her impatient as Kotone tugged the mysterious piece out.

She gasped loudly to see what it was: A beautiful, silver ring.

Kotone could not believe her eyes.

On the ring was a piece of small card attached. With trembling fingers, she picked up the white card and read it.

'Idiot. Of course I haven't forgotten your birthday. What kind of dumbass boyfriend am I? I just…err…I don't know how to give this to you.'

She gawked at the words written on it. Kotone looked forward. Silver had apparently stopped – but his back was still facing her. His hands were still in his pockets. Still, she could sense the immense aura of embarrassment from him. The brunette looked at the card again. She flipped the card. Just as she thought there were no more surprises, she thought wrong.

'Just in case you've forgotten, I love you.'

More tears began to slide down her cheeks. But this time, it was tears of joy. Kotone blinked at the card, then stared at her beloved redhead. "Silver…"

"S-shut up!" Silver could not control the amount of heat he was receiving from his face or the rapid speed of his own heartbeat.


7. Ferriswheel

"Ta-da!" N screamed in joy while flashing a Charmander plush doll in front of White. The brunette froze in surprise. The minute she opened the door, she didn't expect a squealing N or a small smiling plushie.

"N…? What is this?" she asked dumbfoundedly. N flashed a happy smile.

"This is for you. I won for you at the Castelia Arcade Game Corner today. And the nice lady in the counter said that this is a rare fire Pokémon in a faraway region called Kanto." The young man skipped inside the house. White was still baffled at the situation. No wonder he was absent from home this morning. N playfully placed the doll on the petite girl's head. "Charmander. That's its name. And when I first saw Charmander, it reminds me of my dear White."

A faint shade of red tinted her rosy cheeks. Her heart chimed at what he brought for her. "N…you shouldn't have-"  

"Oh but I must!" He placed a finger on her lips, shushing her. N bent a bit lower until he was the same level as hers. An innocent, loving smile curved his perfect face. "I will do anything to remind my White that I love her." He softly patted the girl's nose. White was at lost for words. Her heart could just bang out of her chest any minute just at the sight of him.

N chuckled boyishly. He took her hands and placed the adorable doll in her grasp. "So, just in case you've forgotten, I love you," he hummed in joy. His lips were wide as ever with his angelic smile.

White smiled back, filled with abash. She hugged the doll tighter, hiding her face with it. "I love you too…"
