1. A Sibling’s Sacrifice

“Well…?” Lucina asked nervously as she watched Morgan eat her homemade broth. Anxiety etched at every inch of her face; eyelids fluttered like little bee wings and teeth loudly clanked in fear and anticipation.

Once Morgan had taken a sip of the dish, truth be told, he was quite surprised. When Lucina asked him to taste it before serving it for tonight’s dinner, he was ecstatic. Who wouldn’t be when you get to taste something cooked by your beloved family member?

However, when he did see the broth – bubbling gush of green with unknown substances floating on the surface – Morgan began to silently regret his decision.

Thankfully, the taste wasn’t as horrific as it looked. Putting the ladle back into the pot, Morgan looked at his nervous sister and flashed a wide, satisfied smile. “It’s delicious, Big Sis-” He then suddenly stopped midsentence once a painful churn twisted his stomach. “Urk-!” Instantly his face turned pale. Immediately his hands flew to his tightly pursed mouth. Without waiting for a single moment, Morgan dashed out of the cooking tent and sprinted for the nearest shrub.

“Morgan?!” Panic rushed in her mind to see him rocketing off as if he had seen a huge roach. Quickly she followed her brother and pulled the flaps of the tent opened, only to see Morgan kneeling behind a thick bush and vomiting out her dish that had ‘murdered’ his stomach.

“I-I’m fine-!” He tried to laugh, tried to comfort Lucina who was now obviously thickened with guilt. “J-Just mo-morning sick- Gerk-!” Before he could even think about finishing his sentence, Morgan threw up again.

2. A Wife’s Memory

With eyelids still feeling quite heavy, Robin forced herself up until she sat on the sleeping mat. Her arms raised upwards, fingers curled and uncurled as a yawn escaped her mouth. Running her tongue over her dry lips, she lazily looked around the tent. Sunlight was seen peeking through the flaps of the tent, along with a few shadows that zipped once or twice, indicating that some were already wide awake.

Suddenly, she felt something shifted next to her. Wooziness still clouding her brain, Robin lazily turned her head to the left.

However, right when she did, her brain was instantly jolted to a wake once she saw a certain blue-haired king snoozing by her side.

“AAAAAHHH!!

“HUH WHAT WHERE?!” Once her shrilled voice reverberated right into his ears, Chrom snapped right to his awakened senses and sat upright. Like a bomb had detonated right in front of his face, he broke to a short scream as well, then clamped his mouth shut until a tiny Pop! could be heard. Quickly he shot a dumbfounded stare at his wife beside him, seeing nothing but a bewildered gaze and a fear-stricken expression.

Silence hanged heavy between them. And that thankfully helped Robin fully remember her current situation and relationship with the Captain of the Shepherds.

“Oh…” She muttered dumbly, feeling completely embarrassed and foolish over such irony.

The heat in her face deepened when Chrom actually knew what was running through her mind. “And you said I was forgetful about our marriage…”

3. A Family Tradition

“Inigo!” Lucina turned left and right as she searched for the white-haired mercenary. Inigo had promised to help her do some shopping for her mother’s upcoming birthday in the nearby village. Seeing that she wouldn’t miss a chance for a little splendor – especially when it was with someone she dearly loved – Lucina happily accepted his offer.

Donned in a peach-coloured dress that complimented her Falchion – one that was strapped around her waist before she gave it to Morgan to take care of it – Lucina walked around the camp and kept on searching. “Where is that boy…?” Tugging the long sleeves of her attire, she pulled a little pout and mumbled silently. Her brilliant blue eyes then stopped at a certain tent that situated quite far from the campgrounds. Curiosity knocked on her brain, Lucina decided to walk toward it.

“Inigo?” Standing in front of the entrance, Lucina called out for her lover’s name.

A wide smile then basically beamed on her face once she heard his voice from inside. “L-Lucina?!”

“Ah there you are!” Without waiting for a moment’s hesitance, Lucina happily entered the tent. “I was beginning to wonder where you’d wandered off. You promised me that you would help me find a perfect gift…for…Mot…her…?” Word by word dripped to complete silence once she realized the situation she was in.

Standing a few feet away was Inigo alright. But what brought her to utter stupefaction was the fact that he looked completely horrified, as well as standing in a wooden tub.

Naked.

“L-L-L-Lu-!” Scarlet deep crimson splashed his face down to the nape of his bare neck. Before he could even stop and warn her from entering the tent, Lucina had already dug their respective graves. And what’s worse, acting out of sheer instinct and shock, Inigo swiftly rose to his feet.

Now, thanks to both of their actions, now both of the teenagers stood perfectly still, paralyzed by terrifying horror.

A few heavy seconds ticked by, and that unbearable silence only shattered into pieces when he heard an ear-pitching shriek. “AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!

As if he had received a good slap on the face, Inigo quickly shook his head and waved his hands even faster. “W-W-W-What are you doing here oh Gods Lucy I- What are you doing- OH- L-LUCINA!!” Panic rushed right into his brain to see the young royal sheathing out her Falchion and pointing the sharp tip directly at him. “L-LUCY PUT THAT- NO!

Lucina, whose face was a beautiful shade of deep dark red, reacted out of instinct and began waving her sword in front of the bared boy. “W-WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!”

“WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!” Inigo shrieked back, a single squeal cracking at the end of his sentence. The two began to respond out of sheer panic and embarrassment; one flapped his arms frantically while one swished her weapons madly. “YOU PUT THAT FALCHION AWAY!!”

Even though her actions were completely accidental, even though Lucina didn’t even mean to, her wide gawking eyes trailed to his crotch. She felt dizzier by the second, and this caused her choice of words to be far worse than her choice of actions. “YOU PUT THAT FALCHION AWAY!!”
